On 25 March 2020 MPI (Ministry of Primary Industries) advised that 'Nurseries will be able to carry out maintenance on capital stock and plants to keep them alive. They will not be able to open for business as usual'.
This permits tasks critical for plant survival, such as watering, pest control, disease control, using the minimum number of people necessary.

This is the quietest period in the nursery. As it is just Geoffrey Smith – Company Director, currently working and living on the property. He will be able to undertake disease control sprays, irrigation, vine trimming and weed control. This is no change from any other year we have operated.
